Sediment water filter used as a pre filter in a RO reverse osmosis system
Pre Filters on RO Reverse Osmosis Systems can be sediment filters, GAC or Carbon Block water filters. The pre filter is designed to remove suspended solids. Pre filters normally are changed at least twice as often as the carbon filters. Sediment filters can become plugged by sediment causing the system to stop operating correctly. Sediment water filters typically plug up while there is still life in the carbon filters.
