JACO Compression Fittings and Connectors use a nut to tighten and seal the poly tube inserted into the fitting.   Be sure to tighten the nut to ensue a leak-proof connection.  This is in place of the John Guest style of quick connector fitting that does not use a nut to apply pressure to the tube and fitting.
